SSS-Rank: The Slum-Born Thunder God Plot

To the rest of the world, Nate Ryder is a worthless failure whose Awakening ended in disgrace. But Nate alone knows the truth: he has awakened the rarest and most powerful talent on Earth—the SSS-rank Thunder God.In an age ruled by superhuman power, a person's Awakening rank determines their place in society, and strength decides their fate. Talent brings glory, wealth, and privilege, while the weak are trampled underfoot. As the story begins, Nate's impoverished and broken family is already buckling under the weight of hardship. His father, a low-level mechanic, has spent years selling his blood to afford a single vial of Awakening serum, severely damaging his kidneys in the process. His mother has been paralyzed and bedridden for ten years, yet she remains Nate's greatest source of strength—and the reason he refuses to give up, no matter what. But the system is rigged against people like him. At school, Tyler Ashworth—an entitled bully hailed as a prodigy for his A-rank ability—teams up with other students from powerful families to torment and frame Nate without consequence. Tyler even crushes the vial of Awakening serum Nate's father paid for with his own blood.Even the academy's corrupt, status-obsessed administrators side with the elite. They conspire to bar Nate from the national college entrance exam and the Federal Awakened Selection Tournament, determined to destroy a poor student's only chance to rise above his station. Faced with relentless abuse and humiliation, Nate chooses to conceal his true power and bide his time for the sake of his family. In secret, he turns every insult, every injustice, and every ounce of rage into fuel for his training. Then the Federal Awakened Selection Tournament begins, bringing together the most gifted students from academies across the nation. Tyler advances through the tournament, determined to defeat Nate in front of the entire crowd and humiliate him once and for all.
