Love Has a Price

Love Has a Price Plot

After they remarry, Ethan no longer stops Victoria when her childhood sweetheart Adrian calls her away again and again. Instead, he puts a price on her time: $15,000 an hour by day, $30,000 an hour at night—triple on holidays. Everyone thinks Ethan has turned into a money-grubbing man. Only he knows the truth: the money is for their son Noah’s life-saving treatment for severe heart disease, and the only way out for father and son.

But Victoria keeps abandoning her husband and son for Adrian and his daughter. She even pulls the medical team away during Noah’s open-heart surgery. Completely done, Ethan takes his son—who barely survives—and leaves for Europe. In his post-surgical confusion, Noah becomes convinced his mother died long ago.

Victoria finally wakes up to reality, only to find that no amount of money can buy back her husband’s love—or make her biological son call her Mom. Years later, she can only watch Noah grow up from a distance as a stranger. To the end of her life, she never truly returns to their lives.
