My master became my husband

My master became my husband Plot

In a rural village where wife-lending is common, April's husband Leonard contracts her to Cole, a rugged trapper, to fund his bar exam. Expecting brutality, April is stunned by Cole's tenderness—he adorns their home, feeds her lavishly, and never strikes her. As she gradually sheds her defenses, she discovers to her own surprise that Cole's quiet care and shy devotion stir something she never thought possible: genuine trust and love. When Leonard’s family tries to steal rare falcons Cole captured, they face ruin, while Cole buys April's freedom and proposes a true marriage.
