She Got the Star QB, I Got a Fresh Start Plot

Mason has always been Harper’s reliable childhood best friend, but she only has eyes for Tyler, the star quarterback. She assumes Mason will follow them to the same college.
At the signing party, Harper gives Tyler an expensive custom gift but hands Mason a cheap, blank card. Realizing how one-sided their relationship is, Mason secretly commits to a college on the West Coast, three thousand miles away.
Harper keeps making plans for him, unaware that Mason has already moved on. On the day of training camp, he disappears without a word and cuts ties with her.
On the West Coast, Mason builds a career in sports media and finds people who truly value him. Meanwhile, Harper and Tyler break up, and she finally realizes what she has lost. She apologizes and tries to win Mason back, but he refuses to return to the past. He lets go of his old life and finally puts himself first.
