The Wrong Moonlight

The Wrong Moonlight Plot

Eileen, the eldest daughter of the Bennett family, lost her mother at a young age. Growing up overshadowed by her father and his illegitimate daughter Lily, the only person she ever cared for deeply was Alex, her personal bodyguard whom she had hand‑picked. Her father arranged her marriage to Noah, the comatose heir of the Gray family, in exchange for a billion‑dollar deal. Before leaving home, Eileen intended to hand Alex over to Lily, only to stumble upon his desire for Lily as well as his hidden true identity.
Private auction events, cliff‑side flower‑gathering, a name tattooed over his heart, vicious dog attacks and ninety‑nine lashes forced Eileen to confront one bitter truth after another: Alex had always put Lily above her. She finally severed their three‑year bond and left for Miami alone to honour her arranged marriage.
After Eileen’s departure, Alex uncovered Lily’s long‑running act as a victim. It was Lily who had caused Eileen’s mother’s death, robbed Eileen of her chance at an education, and falsely claimed to be the white‑dressed girl Alex had fallen for at first sight. Realising he had loved the wrong woman and destroyed the one who had truly loved him, Alex meted out punishment to Lily and Mr. Bennett. He then crashed Eileen and Noah’s wedding in an attempt to take her away. Yet Noah had long since woken from his coma. Through years of unsent letters, he revealed he had loved Eileen ever since he was sixteen.
Alex sought to atone for his past wrongs: he reopened his old lash wounds, cut out the tattoo, fought savage dogs and staked his life on a desperate gamble, yet none of it could win back Eileen’s trust. In the end, he was shot and slipped into an eternal slumber. Eileen held a new wedding ceremony with Noah, closing the chapter on this story of mistaken affection and ruinous hurt.
